April 18th– 21st Announcements MAP Reading (This is the test that you must pass to go to 4th grade) is tomorrow. Please eat breakfast and get a good night’s rest. MAP Math test is next Thursday, April 27th. MAP Writing test is Monday, May 1st. Field Trip Money and Permission Slips are due by May 3, 2017. Join Remind by to This is how we send out reminders/announcements. ELA: We will spend Tuesday reviewing for the MAP Assessment. It is very IMPORTANT to be at school tomorrow for our MAP Reading exam on Wednesday. We will spend the rest of the week finishing our Opinion Writing Unit and reviewing for the state writing test. Vocabulary: Collaborate: means “work with others to make or do something.” Aggressive: “threatening or ready and eager to fight or attack others.” Evacuate: means “leave a place and go somewhere safer.” Distress: a “feeling of deep sadness, worry, or pain.” Unaggressive: means “not aggressive, or not threatening or ready and eager to fight or attack others.” Considerate: means “thoughtful of the feelings and needs of others.” Math: Our math skill this week will continue to be 2 step word problems using all 4 operations. I can statements: I can tell time to the last minute and calculate intervals of time. I can visualize from a passage. I can ask and answer questions about a passage. I can reread for information. I can recognize a pronoun. Test Dates: Math - 2nd Fact Fluency for 4th 9 weeks is Friday, April 21st. Addition and subtraction word problem test will be Friday, April 21st. Please encourage your child to practice skills on mobymax.com as much as possible! Math Homework – Mon. – Holiday Tues. – No Written Homework. Practice “Reading Stories” in Language Arts on mobymax.com. Get to bed early. Eat breakfast. Your MAP Reading test is tomorrow. Wed. – The test is done. No Written Homework.
