3. A solution is just the x coordinate where the y coordinate is equal to 0!

Put the equation into Y =
Choose 2nd → CALC
Choose 2: zero
Make the arrows point to the zero by hitting enter on the left side and the right side of the zero.
Do this again if there is another zero!

7. Try it! Find the zeros. y = 2x2 + 7x – 3 y = -x2 + 6x + 4

8. Check your work! y = 2x2 + 7x – 3 x = .386 and x = -3.886
y = -2x2 – 4x – 5 no zeros!
