3. Energy in the Atmosphere
Absorb = occurs when bundles of electromagnetic energy from light hit atoms and molecules and cause them to vibrate.
The more an object's molecules move and vibrate, the hotter it becomes.
Reflect = light energy is NOT absorbed and instead bounces off the object
Radiate = light energy is absorbed by atoms and sent back out as heat (infrared radiation)
