2. HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
Institut Supérieur Pédagogique de Gitwe(ISPG) has been established by Adventist Parents’ Association inhabiting sectors neighbouring Gitwe. These sectors are Bweramana, Ntenyo, Kabagali, Kinihira of Ruhango District, in the Southern Province.

3. The main objectives of ISPG are:
To develop an educative system allowing students to learn and transmit efficiently their knowledge;
To develop inter-university cooperation in terms of education and scientific research at national and international levels;
To offer an education which favours equilibrium of the physical potential, mental, spiritual and social development of the student;
To promote competitive education of students considering the needs of Rwanda and beyond.
To interact with and respond to the needs of the community, the nation and beyond, through innovative programs, research and service provision.
