2. AbOUT
A cowards punch is a punch to someone’s head without any warning at all. The person has no time to defend themselves. During 2014 and 2015 there was significant media attention in Australia on two violent killings involving one hit punches. 91 people had died in Australia in the previous four years from brain trauma caused by a cowards punch.

3. Mildura
A Mildura Sergeant named Patrick Bell says that serious assaults occur far too regularly and most are alcohol fuelled. It’s not a huge problem but it is a problem and any problem that isn’t addressed is only going to grow and snow-ball if you turn a blind eye to it. A cowards punch not only effects the victim but it effects the family too. As well as the offenders family. The Main message that people want to get across is that a cowards punch ruins so many peoples lives.

4. Case 1
Cole Miller was killed by a cowards punch early January 3rd. Miller was only 18 and was attacked by a 21 year old. The 21 year old delivered a blow that caused miller to stumble and hit his head on the ground rendering him unconscious. Miller died the next day in hospital, he never regained consciousness. This offence happened in Brisbane. The offender pleaded guilty to killing Miller and is still to be sentenced.

5. Case 2
Patrick Cronin was a teenage football player who died after a violent pub brawl. Cronin was only 19, he died in hospital not even 48 hours after the brawl. It is reported that he was punched in the head once within a group fight just outside of a pub. A witness says that Cronin stepped in to help his friend who was being trampled when he got punched. Cronin didn’t fall to the ground, he walked back to his hotel before he started vomiting and slipping in and out of consciousness. Police are still searching for his attackers.
