A crew was working on a radio communication tower
A crew was working on a radio communication tower. While changing positions one of the crew fell about 60 feet.

To the amazement of his crew he was conscious when they came to his aid.

The worker knew he was in bad shape by his fellow employees reactions to seeing his injuries.
But the paramedic that responded seemed to be much less concerned. In fact the paramedic assured him that he was in really good shape. Much better than he had suspected by the nature of the call.

All the way to the hospital and even when they wheeled him into the emergency room, the paramedic reassured him he would be fine. This gave them man great hope.

When the nurses and doctors began to treat him their facial expressions of concern began to show the reality of his condition.

Yes, Apparently Gravity One of the emergency team asked the standard question, Are you allergic to anything. The patient quickly responded, Yes, apparently gravity! The team all laughed. This simple act of humor may be the difference between life and death in a situation such as this.

Pain is mandatory, Suffering is optional.
When faced with tragedies such as this mans in life, you must deal with pain. That’s a given but suffering is a choice!

Driving with a flat tire isn’t safe. It will cause you to have difficulty controlling the path you are on. It will reduce your efficiency as well.

Attitude is a complete choice. Yes it is influenced by past experiences but it is still a choice.

There is a book called the Anatomy of Peace. One of the topics of the book is about the Holy ground in the middle east. The two groups fighting over it both believe it is sacred ground but for two different reasons. The interesting thing is as they argue over why it is sacred they forget that they both have actually agreed on one thing. It is sacred.

Comparing yourself with others can lead to a “victim attitude”. Avoid thoughts like… If my life was as easy as theirs, I wish I could be inside today, I wish all I had to do was drive around etc.

This has no limits. You can write more than five things if you want. The key is to focus on the good and not the bad. It is great if they have names of people on there list. Provide them some of your own examples.
