Ashlee, age 17 A lot of my friends don’t really want to go to their Church. But we want to be here, and the older people in our Church can see that…..so they want us to be here. Our whole Church treats us like we’re the Church of today, not just the Church of the future.

Colette age 27 “Right now, in this season, we have a youth group that is very centered on going outside of our doors. These students are taking our congregation back to the of service in our community that helped our Church get started. They are breathing fresh air into our Church and lighting our passion again. They are modelling for older generations what it means to be a light and glorify God.”

The Little Children and Jesus
People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them. — Mark 10:13-16

Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him
Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court. — Psalm 127:3-5

A good person leaves an inheritance for their children’s children, but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for the righteous. — Proverbs 13:22 Children’s children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children. — Proverbs 17:6

Titus 2:2-3 (NLT) 2 Teach the older men to exercise self-control, to be worthy of respect, and to live wisely. They must have sound faith and be filled with love and patience.3 Similarly, teach the older women to live in a way that honours God. They must not slander others or be heavy drinkers. Instead, they should teach others what is good.
