Week 3 (June , 2016)
This Week’s Goal: Have a custom OS that “intercepts” all requests for sensitive information implemented
Accomplishments:
Now understand the internal mechanisms of the Android OS
Bought a book “Android Security Internals: An In-Depth Guide to Android’s Security Architecture” & almost read all relevant chapters
Set up a development environment for the Android OS (much harder than making an app in Android Studio)

Issues/problems encountered and solutions (if any):
Modifying the Android OS is not nearly as common as developing an Android app, so helpful information is generally scattered and requires a significant amount of time to find
Specifically setting up a development / debugging environment took a full two days
Plans for next week:
Now I can actually start developing!
Define specific specifications for the experiment as I’m now ready to dive into the details, rather than just learning about Android
