Proportion of patients (%) with focal intestinal metaplasia (IM) of the gastric cardia at each follow-up in relation to the number of patients visiting. There is no increased incidence observed over time. Of 19 patients with focal IM, this finding was not reproduced during subsequent endoscopies in 89% of cases.
