2. Nigeria WPV cases 2007 – as at March 23, 2007
With latest onset 09-Feb-2007 Nigeria has 31 cases of wild poliovirus in 13 states in 2007, compared to 130 for the same period in 2006 in 13 states.
In 2007, Nigeria accounts for 46% of the global wild poliovirus cases .
Nigeria accounts for 86% of the cases in Africa.
