1. Quantitative- uses numbers to describe the observation. Ex. There are 3 dogs 2. Qualitative- uses your senses(sight, sound, smell, touch, taste) to describe an observation. Ex. The salty fries

INTERNATIONAL SYSTEM OF UNITS
Known as SI units Derived fro seven base units. Adopted by all scientists Table 2 Prefixes: indicate a fraction or a multiple of the base unit Prefixes are based on the powers of ten Table 3

PRECISION VS. ACCURACY 4 out of 4 basketballs fall in the basket.
Accuracy is a description of how close a measurement is to an accepted or true value. -4 out of 4 basketballs hit the rim. Precision is a description of how similar or close measurements are to each other. 4 out of 4 basketballs fall in the basket.
