P – the government will get bigger (more power and more people working in the government), political and social division E – higher taxes to pay for land, more businesses/new business for more people, more food (animals and crops) R – more different religions from the new people S – less protection -> more land but not more soldiers, need protection from Natives/ conflict, population increase because more people will move from other countries for land and there are people in the new lands already I – more schools G – gained land from coast to coast A – different cultures will enrich our artistic traditions, different foods – more diversity
