Urinary LH, FSH, E13G, and Pd3G concentrations (creatinine-adjusted) and E13G:Pd3G ratios during the menstrual cycles of Caucasian (n = 65) and African American (n = 33) female U.S. Air Force personnel. Values (mean + SE) are plotted relative to menses onset (A and C) and the estimated day of ovulation (B). Regression analyses suggest that African American women have lower follicular phase LH:FSH ratios (P=.03), follicular phase Pd3G levels (P=.05), and rates of periovulatory Pd3G increase (P=.02) compared to their Caucasian counterparts.
