2. Topic Sentences
Topic sentence should state the category of synthesis for the paragraph
Is this the family, psychological, or society paragraph?
2nd and 3rd topic sentences in the following paragraphs should transition from the paragraph before it
Remember that the topic sentence (including body paragraph) should be parallel to your thesis statement
This means that it should look/sound like the same sentence, but with a different ending
Topic sentence has to be argumentative in this paper because your thesis is argumentative

3. Rest of the paragraph
Supporting details follow after the topic sentence. Be specific:
Expand on your thoughts.
Do not simply drop quotes into your paragraph.
Transition between the two subjects with a sentence
Use comparative and contrasting adverbs
Compare both subjects within ONE paragraph, not multiple paragraphs for one category
Conclude your paragraph
