3. 1. Technical Cooperation Programme
The TCP aims to provide FAO’s technical expertise to its Members through targeted, short-term, catalytic and sustainable projects.
At country level, TCP assistance should contribute to one or more country priorities as expressed in the Country Programming Framework (CPF).
At subregional, regional and interregional levels TCP assistance should be aligned to the Strategic Framework, regional priorities and/or initiatives as expressed in Regional Conferences, regional technical commissions, and other relevant political processes and agreements.

4. 1. Technical Cooperation Programme
The budget is part of the Organization’s Regular Programme.
There are FAO contact points in each competent authority.

5. 2. Unilateral Trust Fund Programme
UTF projects are fully funded by the beneficiary countries themselves, either from national resources or from the proceeds of loans, credits and grants made available by international financing institutions or bilateral donors.
Although there is a great diversity in funding modalities, the bulk of FAO’s Trust Funds’ projects fall under the Government Cooperative Programme (GCP) and Unilateral Trust Funds (UTF) categories. The remaining projects are generally categorized as Trust Funds (TF).

6. 3. Government Cooperative Programme
The GCP represents a financing modality under which a donor government or a financing institution entrusts funds to FAO for the provision of technical assistance services, including policy advice and training, to a specific developing country or region(s).
