Survival of patients with metastatic melanoma based on β-blocker use. The median survival of patients who were taking β-blockers during treatment for metastatic melanoma was 10.8 months (interquartile range, months) vs 8.3 months (interquartile range, months) for those who were not (P=.53; number taking β-blockers, 30; controls, 95).
