2. EARLY LIFE
Born September 10,1982 in San Pedro California. Grew up in Kansas City, Missouri
Started dance at age 13
Misty’s family was very poor
Danced in the ABT (American ballet theature) summer program for 2 years

3. MIDDLE LIFE
Misty wanted to be the group’s first African American principal dancer
Became an ABT ballerina in 2000
Had a problem with junk foods but changed to heathy foods

4 billion YouTube views in one week of commercial featuring her
Because of dancing she got six cracks in her leg she couldn’t dance for seven months
A metal plate was put in her leg
Moved up to corp de ballet

Copeland today mentors seveal dancer she also helps them with tough training
