4 Graduation Requirements - Testing
Students must meet 1 of 3 requirements: Ohio’s State Tests Earn at least 18 points on 7 end-of-course state tests. English 9, English 10, Algebra I , Geometry, American Government, American History, Biology You must have a minimum of 4 points in math, 4 points in English, and 6 points across science and social studies. 2. Earn the “remediation-free” scores on either: ACT English - 18 or higher Mathematics - 22 or higher Reading - 22 or higher SAT Writing or higher Mathematics or higher Reading or higher  3. Earn a minimum of 12 points by receiving a State Board of Education-approved, industry-recognized credential or group of credentials in a single career field AND earn a 13 on WorkKeys, a work-readiness test.

7 Enlistment Steps Explore different branches and opportunities
Be aware of different physical and medical requirements Meet with a Recruiter Lunchroom visits Recruiting Center by mall Take the ASVAB Take the Oath

8 Enrollment Steps - Fall
Explore college options Xello (Career Cruising), Ohio Means Jobs, College Board What is a “good” school? Meets the student’s interests academically, geographically, financially, etc. Has a variety of activities of interest to you Research Admissions Criteria Based on academic achievement and potential SAT and ACT Strength of curriculum GPA and Rank Additional considerations Extracurricular activities Community involvement Leadership

9 Enrollment Steps - Fall
Take or Re-take SAT’s or ACT’s if necessary Choose colleges to send scores to or NCAA Eligibility Center Narrow choices to 3-5 schools based on college admissions requirements Begin providing information to teachers for letters of recommendation Brag sheet will be available on the counseling website. Begin completing applications Write essays and personal statements Pay the application fee and apply by the deadline Pay close attention to all admissions and scholarship deadlines at your school of choice Send official transcripts Request in counseling office or on counseling website

10 Senior Year Timelines and Dates
Fairfield County College Fair September 27th – 6-8pm at OU-L 100 Colleges Represented Financial Aid and FAFSA Night October 2nd – 6pm at LHS Future Ready Application Week October 22nd-26th Every senior fills out an application – Employment, Enlistment, Enrollment Priority Financial Aid Deadlines Apply early to at least 1 school you are guaranteed to be accepted to Weekend of May 31st – June 2nd Graduation at LHS!
