COSCAP-NA Steering Committee meets every 6-8 months to assign the tasking and priorities and ICAO is the executing agency

Commenced operations with arrival of CTA in February 2003
COSCAP-NA Steering Committee meeting conducted on a regular basis to provide direction to the programme

ICAO Global Aviation Safety Plan (GASP) encourages States to establish regional aviation safety teams
Similar process to FAA Commercial Aviation Safety Team (CAST) and JAA Joint Strategic Safety Initiative (JSSI)

Review outputs from CAST/JSSI and provide recommendations concerning their implementation in North Asia
Review regional results of USOAP audits and provide recommendations on enhancements that could be implemented on a regional basis
