Stop and Calm Down Count and take a deep breath.
Choose what you’ll do to handle your anger.

Tell the Person Why You’re Angry
Begin your statement with the word “I” instead of “you.” “I feel angry when . . . you do not listen to me.” my classmates laugh at me.” my friend hits me.”

Leave for a While Sometimes it’s best to walk away from an argument.
Ask the teacher for permission to leave the classroom.

Relax – Calm Your Body.

Talk to an Adult For serious situations where you might get hurt, talk to an adult. An adult can help you or tell you about services that can help you.
