Important dates to keep in mind:
January 4 is the deadline for submitting course requests in Skyward. Start College Now (FVTC) and Early College Credit Program (UW) deadline for Fall Semester is March 1. 36 Service Hours need to be submitted and approved on Getnvolved.org by April 15 of your Senior Year. Contact Mrs. Van Caster with any questions.

New Courses available to Seniors
AP Statistics- Prerequisite is Adv. Algebra CAPP German Prerequisite is intermediate German 2 AP Computer Science Principles No prerequisite ***Check the course offering guide for a complete description of these courses.

COURSES WITH NEW NAMES Marketing Management is now Principles of Marketing Accounting is now CAPP Accounting German and Spanish classes have been renamed. Advanced Weight Training is now Athletic Performance (Male, and Female. Also Single and Block) ***Check the course offering guide for a complete description of these courses.

Registration is done online in Skyward.
Current Juniors must request a minimum of 6 credits for their Senior year in addition to alternate courses. Don’t forget to check the Course Offering Guide when selecting courses. The deadline in January 4. If you plan on having Academic Extension/Commons don’t forget to add that too. (8041 and 8042)

Course Registration Instructions:
Use Skyward Student Access Click on the “Schedule” tab on the left side of the screen. Next, click on the link that says, “REQUEST COURSE FOR AT HORTONVILLE HIGH” Click on the link “REQUEST COURSES” next to your name at the top A complete list of courses listed in alphabetical order will appear on the left side of the page. To select a class scroll through the list or search for is using the search bar at the bottom. Click on the course name and click “REQUEST SELECTED COURSE”

A FEW HELPFUL TIPS: When you choose a course that runs all year, the system will automatically request both semesters. If for some reason you only need ONE semester of a year- long course, see your counselor. If you request a course in which you have not met the prerequisite, you will see a message under the search box in red that says: “THE PREREQUISITE FOR THIS COURSE HAS NOT BEEN MET. PLEASE CONTACT YOUR ADVISOR.” If you believe this is an error contact your Counselor. Be sure to request at least 2 alternates (Click “Request Alternates” next to the printer icon.
