He loved taking new and edgy type portraits of actors, singers, song writers, authors, and other famous type of people.

David LaChapelle was affiliated with 303 Gallery in the 1980.
A few years after getting his name out there Andy Warhol from interview magazine offered 17 year old David a job to work with them. Giving him no direction other than “ I don’t care what you do, just make them( The famous people) look good.”

11. Impact on photography
He encourages young and upcoming artist to try something different, out of the box. He has inspired young artist to try the method of photography he uses called hyper realism. He help set up many young artist in trying the newer edgy type stuff allowing them to think outside of the normal portraits and paintings.
