Synthetic compounds that are chemically related to testosterone
Promotes development of secondary sex characteristics
called androgen effects
Accelerates muscle grown
anabolic effects

Cannot synthetically develop the drug without the androgen effect
Current research shows little or marginal effect on enhanced strength or performance

Classified as a controlled dangerous substance and under the control of the DEA
Harmful side effects include liver cancer, masculinizing effects on females, Infertility, diminished sex drive in males, Premature bone growth cessation in teenagers, Mood and personality changes
