1 TFU and Your CCDT Adding TFU framework to your CCDT project, and associating framework parts. Begin by logging into the CCDT at: , and opening your project.

2 TFU and Your CCDT Once you are in your project, click on the Teaching for Understanding How-to Guide link.

3 TFU and Your CCDT The Teaching for Understanding How- To Guide has six sections. Lab will focus on Apply Teaching for Understanding to Curriculum Design. Explore the other Help Topics on your own as needed.

4 TFU and Your CCDT Click on the Quick- Start Guides for TFU framework elements. These are sketches of the general ideas of TFU. If you have not taken TFU, please read each of these sections on your own. There is additional information in the CCDT Help Sections. You will find links to the Help Sections at the bottom of each Quick- Start Guide page. If you have taken TFU, use this section as a reference when building your project.

5 TFU and Your CCDT Use the back button to return to the TFU How-To Guide. Click on Adding Content to a Design for step-by-step instructions.

6 TFU and Your CCDT Once you have added your content, go back to the TFU How-To Guide for instructions on how to classify your Performances of Understanding and On-going Assessment. On-going Assessment classifications are: Formal, Informal, Self, Peer, Teacher, Community, or None. Performances of Understanding classifications are: introductory, guided, and culminating.

7 TFU and Your CCDT Go back to the TFU How-To Guide and click on Creating an Association. Refer to this page for specific instructions for associating your items.

8 TFU and Your CCDT Homework activity
Take the next 30 minutes to add your Throughlines, a Generative Topic, 2 Understanding Goals, 2 Performances of Understanding, and an Assessment piece. You may also associate and classify your items during this time. Feel free to get together in your groups. There will be time after the activity to ask questions and share the frameworks you are working on. You can view published projects at
