Hour of Code is a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify "code", to show that anybody can learn the basics, and to broaden participation in the field of computer science
When is Hour of Code?
The Hour of Code takes place each year during Computer Science Education Week.
Computer Science Week is held annually in recognition of the birthday of computing pioneer, Admiral Grace Murray Hopper (December 9, 1906).
This year it is December 4-10
Why should we participate in Hour of Code?
Hour of Code helps nurture problem-solving skills, logic and creativity. It also provides students with a foundation for success in any 21st-century career path.

4. Sphero Directions Open “Blocks 1: Intro & Loops” activity
Watch the video in step 3
Ask your teacher for an iPad and Sphero
Open the “Sphero Edu” app on the iPad
Hold the Sphero next to the iPad to connect them
Click on “Programs” in the bottom taskbar
Click the plus sign in the green circle in the bottom right corner of the screen
Type your last name as the Program Name and click Create (Program Type should be Blocks and the first compatible robot should be selected).
Using the knowledge from the video, create a square
Watch the video in step 4 and alter your blocks to incorporate loops
Watch the video in step 5 and add random lights and sounds to your square
