All around academic – music is academic at the high school Extra activities/involved in everything Focused and excelling in 1 area Well Rounded Something that sets you apart from the mass Different colleges = different requirements Colleges Majors

4 What about AP? What’s involved with an AP course
Time commitment Test College Credit…..MAYBE Use peers to help decided which AP classes to take and which order to take classes in to optimize AP availability in schedule

5 Standard Diploma vs. Scholars Diploma
Things needed for Scholars Diploma GPA of 3.4 or higher 3 AP Classes 1 extra science class Standard is 3 credits and scholars requires 4 so take 1 science class per year (9th grade counts) 2 credits of World Language 1 credit carries over from 9th grade
