2 Jason, works at the front desk of a hotel
Possible preferences: Meeting new people Working with computers Having a set schedule Doing the same thing every day Share their positive personality every day What does that mean? They help to check people into the hotel and tell them what room they are staying in They also check people out when they are leaving the hotel They answer the phone to answer anyone’s questions Need to be able to use a computer to keep a record of who stayed where, and they use the computer to charge people for staying at the hotel

3 Ayesha, Works at a vet office
What does that mean? They take the dogs on walks, clean their cages, play with them They help keep the animals clean and feed the animals Help dogs get adopted or find different foster homes Helping to train the dogs Possible preferences: Working with animals A job that involves taking care of something Working on a team Having a set schedule Work both inside and outside Physical activity

4 Harry, works at Dutch Brothers
Possible preferences: Meeting new people Prefer being able to share their happy personality every day Loves coffee Set schedule Standing a lot Working in a fast-paced environment What does that mean? Greeting people at the window, taking their orders, and charging them for their drinks/food Making different coffee drinks, smoothies, and more Keeping the “shack” clean

5 Delilah, Works at target
Possible preferences: Working on a team with other people Working with different clothes/items Meeting new people & helping people Working alone and organizing things What does that mean? Could be a cashier who checks people out, puts their items in a bag, and charges them Could fold and organize clothes, help stock the shelves, keep the store clean Run the dressing rooms, organize the clothes, and keep the dressing rooms clean/unlock them Help direct people to where certain things are in the store or help them with whatever else they need

Work with technology and have a strong understanding of what different technologies do Helping people pick the right technology for themselves Stocking items Cashier and interacting with other people Possible preferences: Loves technology and has a lot of knowledge on different technology Likes interacting with other people and giving their opinion to help them Likes a set schedule Working on a team

Possible preferences: Loves being outdoors so they have a lot of knowledge on the different gear people can use Likes helping people Set schedule Would rather work day hours Share their love of the outdoors and help them experience that What does that mean? Having knowledge of the products they sell and giving people advice on what to buy Cashier/check out person Stocking clothes, items, gear etc. Helping people find items

8 Final Activity! You are going to get one final person, their job, and what they do at their job. I also am giving you a list of possible preferences. I want you to put an X or a  next to the preferences that you think match with the job. Once you finish, make sure your name is on it, and then wait for your groups to go on your jobs.

9 Maria, Works at a preschool
What does that mean? Teaching children both educational things and play skills and social skills Working on a team with other teachers Playing with children and making sure they stay safe Keeping the classroom neat and under control Don’t forget to put your name on your sheet!
