What are idioms? Idiom = Group of words established by usage as having a meaning not deducible from those of the individual words OR A combination of words that have a figurative meaning due to its common usage

- raining very heavily; there’s a downpour Don’t spill the beans! - to let out a secret Why are you feeling blue? - to feel sad Put a cork in it. - impolite way to say “shut up” Break a leg! - good luck
