9 What is Construction Engineering/Management (CEM)?
Construction engineering is a professional discipline that deals with the designing, planning and construction of infrastructures such as highways, bridges, airports, railroads, buildings, dams, and utilities. Construction Management is the overall planning, coordination, and control of a construction project from beginning to completion.

10 CEM Education Program: Bachelor of Engineering (Construction)
Honours degree 4 years full-time (8 semesters) Final year research project Optional 1 year of WIL (work integrated learning), with pay (employment).

11 CEM Education Program: Postgraduate Coursework
Master of Construction and Infrastructure Management (MCIM) Two years (4 semester) full-time or part time equivalent 16 units of study Research components: Research methods Research paper Research project Master of Construction Management 1.5 years (3 semesters) full-time or part time equivalent 12 units of study Partially online 40 years of successful history and reputation

12 CEM Education Program: Postgraduate Coursework
Master of Professional Engineering (major in Risk Management OR Construction) Two years (4 semester) full-time or part time equivalent 16 units of study 5 units focus on Risk Management 4 units focus on research 4 elective units With opportunity of 1 year work experience / employment Graduate Certificate in Risk Management 0.5 year (1 semester) full time or part time equivalent 4 units of study Online Students successfully competed the Grad Cert in Risk Mgt can apply for upgrade to MCIM. MCM or MPE.
