1 Free-Fall acceleration

2 Review Constant Acceleration
What is meant by constant acceleration? Now let’s make a graphic organizer to organize our equations for this year!

3 What is gravity?

4 Free-fall acceleration is the same as constant acceleration, just in the vertical direction.
In free-fall acceleration, the acceleration is gravity! On a left page, split the page into three horizontal sections

5 On the left page You drop an egg into a skillet. If you are holding the egg still before dropping it, what is the egg’s velocity after 0.1 seconds?

6 On a left page You throw a ball upwards at 4.9 m/s. How long will it take the ball to reach its peak? What is the acceleration at that point?

7 On left page You drop a penny off of Taiwan’s Taipei 101 tower, which is 509 meters tall. How long does it take to hit the ground? Ignore air resistance, consider the down as negative, and the ground as having zero height.

8 A ball is dropped from the top of a 123 m high cliff
A ball is dropped from the top of a 123 m high cliff. Ignoring air resistance, find the final velocity of the ball, and the amount of time it takes for it to hit the ground below.
