Beyond the Books: New SAT + Demonstrated Interest Hello and welcome to today’s presentation. We all know that colleges value grades and test scores as crucial components of admissions. That’s a given, and if you’d like more information on how to raise your grades or scores, I’d encourage you to check out C2 Education’s online library of webinars, located at C2educate.com. Today, though, we’re going to go Beyond the Books, to touch on another important part of your college admissions story: extracurricular activities. I use that word, “story,” very deliberately, because when you’re applying to college that’s what you’re doing: you’re selling the story of yourself as a student, for the last four years. You’re trying to show the colleges who you are and how you’ve become that person, and the sorts of activities you’ve involved yourself in help you to support those claims. But before we get fully into the presentation, let me tell you a bit about myself…[next slide] 1
