Practice times and sometimes games can change, so check the website frequently. Schedulers will only take feedback from managers, coaches and board members. Scheduling Challenges
Current State Scheduling Initiatives for Goal & Objectives Added Tournaments for Travel Teams (2016) Met ADM/USA Hockey Ice Events in Eliminated DASA Tournaments (2016) Purchased Additional Ice in Mound Growing Association Early Morning Practices Rotating Wed/Sun Practice Practices 15 Traveling teams compared to 14 teams last year and years prior Added Games Every Night Association Feedback Added Clinics (removed Open Hockey) Eliminate Black Ice and/or Private Rentals Inconsistent Ice More Ice Continue to pursue purchased or outdoor ice options Kirk: “Take-Aways”: Thank you – Schedulers (Difficult Job) Does not include Games/Scrimmages All teams within ~5% of each other across levels* Ice Considerations… Worked! Added 2 (net) Traveling Teams & HS Team Opportunities: Practice Consistency in Dec/Jan, Scrimmage Coordination, 30% of the Association says “Not Enough Ice” -All teams exceeded ADM/MN Hockey Recommendations -Two Additional Teams – all within ~5% of last year (some over, some under) – Bantam, Pee Wee, 10u, 15u -Teams were all relative close. Biggest discrepancy was 9% (Pee Wee A vs. 12uB). Team Flexibility caused differences -Great Job Scheduling (Dan/Vicky) -Leveraged Mound (60+ hours), look to do that again -Opportunities: Sun/Wed, Consistency in Dec/Jan
