Why is it needed? Ensure every worker’s Right to Know about health and safety hazards To help stop injuries, illnesses, deaths, medical costs, fires, explosions from unsafe use of hazardous chemicals To protect all workers/students/teachers

Compressed Gas It means that.... Could explode due to pressure, heat or being dropped. And that you should.... Store in appropriate areas and do not drop or allow to fall.

Flammable and Combustible
It means that.... May ignite spontaneously. And that you should.... Avoid heating and sources or sparks/flames.

Oxidizing Material It means that.... Materials which burn continuously. And that you should.... Store in proper containers.

Toxic: Immediate and Severe
It means that.... Poisons/fatal materials. And that you should.... Wear protective clothing and work in ventilated area.

Toxic: Long Term Concealed
It means that.... Harmful effects over long period of time And that you should.... Avoid direct contact.

Biohazardous Infectious
It means that.... Infectious agents causing serious disease or death. And that you should.... Avoid breathing vapours
