4 Miscommunication Have you experienced miscommunication in your talk?
What is the cause of miscommunication? How can we avoid it? Is it true that good talk must not consist of miscommunication?

6 In our discussion,… ….the process of fixing miscommunication will be referred to as “repair”, ….we will be using “trouble source” to refer to “the cause of miscommunication”.

25 Assignment 2 (15%) Listen to a conversation among your family members.
Roughly transcribe the talk in which repair is found (3 incidences of repair; 2%x3= 6%). Identify the trouble source (1%x3=3%). Describe the nature of the trouble source. Indicate whether it is (1%x3=3%): Self-initiated other-repair, Other-initiated self-repair, or Other-initiated other-repair

26 Assignment 2 (15%) Explain how misunderstanding is solved (1%x3).
Put the dialog first, followed by the description in a paragraph format which consists of no. 3-5 above. No of words for each paragraph is 100 words. Due: June 22nd midnight.
