Anywhere and everywhere possible -> Target most of your applications to departments/institutions similarly ranked as SES and below See: and Do not be picky early in the process

Create a custom profile on JOE:  Employers can search through the profiles  Applications may be done through JOE for some positions

Submit profile to department signaling packet by the end of September Create your profile Identify two schools or institutions where you would like to send the department packet and send me their addresses

Complete your online webpage and make sure you are on the job market list Upload your job market paper to REPEC:

14 Important dates Week of Sept 24 – send me your packet to review
October 3 – send profile and two schools/institutions to me October 7 – department packet will be sent out to schools/institutions Late November (tentatively November 29) – job market meeting for those entering the job market December 7 – series of mock interviews with faculty

Main advisor – primary guide through out the whole process Me – help to increase your visibility; give tips; give comments on packet, presentation and paper; preparation for the interview The department – help get reference letters together
