2 Definition Marketing Research – the systematic design, collection, interpretation and reporting of information to help marketers solve specific marketing problems/take advantage of opportunities

Quantitative research – research aimed at producing statistical data and numerical presentation Qualitative research – data which is too expensive /difficult to quantify such as subjective opinions, value judgements
