2. What is anesthesiology?
Anesthesiology is the practice of medicine dedicated to the relief of pain and total care of the surgical patient before, during and after surgery.

3. careers involving anesthesia:
Anesthesiologist: doctor/physician in the field of anesthesia
Anesthesiologist Assistant (AA): highly skilled health professional who works under the direction of a licensed anesthesiologist to implement anesthesia care plans
Anesthesia technician (AT): is not a doctor or a nurse, but their role is to manage the anesthesia equipment and for its proper maintenance (1)

4. Education
Anesthesiologist: four year undergraduate college degree, including pre-med requirements, four years of medical school.
Anesthesiologist Assistant (AA): a bachelor's degree and have completed premedical courses
Anesthesia Technician (AT): have a high school diploma or GED, have basic computer skills (2)
Anesthesiologists require to have pre-med before going to medical school.
AA require having completed pre-med courses such as: math, physics, chemistry, and biology. Typical undergraduate majors include: nursing, medical technology, repritory therapy, physics, chemistry and biology.
AT at least two years of employment as an anesthesia technician or to be a graduate of a two – year program approved by the American Society of Anesthesiology Technologists and Technicians (ASATT),
