Why study Recreation and Tourism Management?
Recreation and Tourism Management is a growing and dynamic field. It is estimated that recreation, leisure, entertainment, travel, and tourism is a $10 trillion business worldwide. Students in this major develop competencies in administration and management, business principles, legal foundations and risk management, facility planning and maintenance, assessment and evaluation, emergency medical skills, activity programming and leadership. Our goal is to provide students with core skill sets and competencies that allow for adaptability and success within a wide range of professional settings.
