UCAS is the system used when applying to Universities and Colleges in the UK and Northern Ireland
Applications can be made by using the internet
Any student wishing to apply through UCAS should see the Guidance Counsellor immediately in 6th Year, as the closing dates for UCAS are earlier than the CAO

Before you start your application, here are the top things admissions teams will look for when reviewing your application.
Qualifications.
Content of written personal statement displaying passion for the subject area, while demonstrating motivation, enthusiasm, and the skills and experiences that will enable you to succeed at university.
Quality and content of reference.
Knowledge of and commitment to the subject discipline.
Good attitude to learning and personal development.
Ability to articulate yourself fluently and accurately in writing – it is a sign of what's to come for tutors.

4. IMPORTANT DATES

Deadlines for on-time applications
For courses starting in 2019 (and for deferred applications), your application should be with us at UCAS by one of these dates – depending on what courses you apply for. If your completed application – including all your personal details and your academic reference – is submitted by the deadline, it is guaranteed to be considered.
You can now submit completed 2018 entry applications to UCAS. 
15 October 2018, 18:00 (UK time) – any course at the universities of Oxford and Cambridge, or for most courses in medicine, veterinary medicine/science, and dentistry. You can add choices with a different deadline later, but don’t forget you can only have five choices in total.  
15 January 2018, 18:00 (UK time) – for the majority of courses. Some art and design courses have a 24 March deadline, so you can add these later; but don’t forget you can only have five choices in total.  
24 March 2018, 18:00 (UK time) – for some art and design courses. Others have a 15 January deadline, so make sure you check the course details to confirm the correct deadline you need to apply by.
Some course providers require additional admissions tests to be taken alongside the UCAS application, and these may have a deadline. Find out more about these tests.

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS:
15th October :00
Applications for any course at the universities of Oxford and Cambridge, or for most courses in medicine, veterinary medicine/science, and dentistry should arrive at UCAS by 18:00 (UK time) today. You can add choices with a different deadline later, but don’t forget you can only have five choices in total.  
NOTE:
Many of the courses that use admissions tests are also the courses that have the 15 October application deadline – so it's worth checking these details in advance.

Booking closes at midday on 1 October.
Last testing date

Tests taken in the EU between 1 September and 3 October 2018 were £85 STERLING

9. Physiotherapy & Occupational Therapy in Ulster University
Additional Entry Requirements
Satisfactory performance in the HPAT-Ulster selection test is also required. More information on the Health Professions Admissions Test (HPAT-Ulster) can be found at  Pease note that there is a cost to undertake the test.
