Welcome back to ORE! AG Classes will begin September 5, Below is a list of supplies needed. 4th GRADE ELA – 2 pocket folder with prongs. MATH- 1” binder (can use form previous year) WISH LIST Paper towels Clorox Wipes Classroom Visitation Night We invite you to stop by September 5, :00-8:00 p.m.. After visiting your traditional classrooms with your children feel free to come to Mrs. Tuggle’s and Ms. Washam’s classes to see what we will be doing in AG this year! We will be discussing 1st and 2nd semester curriculum. Please consider joining PAGE. PAGE supports our community's brightest young minds with strong advocacy for the advancement of gifted education.

5TH AG MATH Beyond Base Ten Students will explain patterns in the number of zeroes of the product when multiplying a number by the power of ten, and explain patterns in the placement of decimal point when a decimal is multiplied or divided b a power of ten. 5TH AG ELA Math Quest Students will begin lessons this month in Caesar’s English book #1. We will also begin our unit titled Do I have a voice? We will explore human rights around the world through short stories. Diary entries, and videos. AG Classroom Curriculum 4th AG MATH Students work together and independently to solve problems and move around our classroom game board in order to reach the Treasure Chest at the end. This game focuses on different strategies for problem solving and how to apply them in real-life situations. 4TH AG ELA Students will begin lessons in Caesars English book #1. Introduction to Latin and Greek stems and higher level vocabulary will be our focus. Towards the end of the month we will begin The Power of Literacy unit and begin exploring the issues surrounding illiteracy and it’s effects.
