Status Report

2 How to develop OBDII GTR
Current GTR No.18 is valid forever even though it will be amended for OBDII. Two documents can be existing as a first edition and an amended edition. 5 Other Matters India proposed to amend to GTR 18 by Splitting into independent parts as OBD II Stage 1 and OBD II Stage 2. As a result of discussion, OBD II was not divided into two parts as OBD II Stage 1 and OBD II Stage 2. India proposed to include idle emission control failure detection as part of OBD II Stage-1 . CG members did not understand the necessity of idle emission control failure detection. So, India will prepare materials to explain its necessity at future meetings. Regarding the definitions of OBD II GTR, we will discuss again after the completion of relating text.
