Identify air quality issues that have a direct impact on western states Ensure western concerns are considered

Committee Activities Monthly phone meetings (First Thursday at 1 PM PT) States involved with priority issues: Proposed Secondary Ozone Standard State Role in Revisions to Prescribed and Wildland Fire Policy Regional Haze Plan Development Relation of Exceptional Events Rule to SIPs Updates on Regional Topics (oil & gas in the West)

Regional Haze SIP development/completion Prescribed and Wildland Fire Policy Revision Ozone NAAQS revision Regional/state topics Rural Air Issues – i.e. ozone, oil and gas, mercury, etc. PM2.5 Designations

Provide western states perspective Go beyond NACAA comments Emphasize areas of special importance to the West Areas for potential comments Proposed secondary standard Follow-up (research, funding, guidance)
