2. ~The meaning of the 40 days!
It is the birth of a new Israel liberated from sin, we reconciled to God and governed by the law of the Spirit rather than a law chiseled in stone.
The following events happened in 40 days!!!!

3. ~Jesus in the Desert! He went after he was baptized
He was tempted by the devil
He just ate bread and drank water

4. ~ Mount Sinai Moses got the ten commandments at Mount Sinai
He was there for 40days waiting for god to speak to him
He was suppose to go back
To the promised land but died

5. ~ The Israelites Israelites waited and waited and waited…….
They built an idol of meta- a
Golden calf
~ They had festivals to honor it
~ They thought God wasn’t
Real

6. ~ Prophet Elijah Elijah walked 40 days and night to mount Horeb
He poured out his heart to god thinking that he was the only true believer and that his life was in jeopardy.
God gave him 3 assignments and assured him that there were 7thousand believers who had not bowered to Baal
Elijah again obeyed and let Mount Herob to fulfill Gods will

7. ~ Noah’s Ark The story is found in the book of Genesis
Yahweh told Noah to build a very big boat called an “ARK” out of gopher wood.
It took many years to be built
It had to be big enough to fit animals, and his family
The ark floated on the water for about 7 months
