Hello Fellow Elks! March has us slowing down a little. That isn’t always a bad thing though. This month we will be having two paint nights with Coop’s Canvas LLC. Angela the owner has loved coming and teaching us how to create masterpieces all our own. Please join us on Saturday 3/11 at 5:30 pm , or come to our Tuesday 3/21 at 7pm paint night. Both will be Canvas paintings this month. We haven’t decided upon the pictures but when we do, we will post them on our facebook page. The cost is $35 per person. This event in held in the dinning room, smoke free. Vendor Cardingo is also planned for this month. We have changed the date to Saturday 3/18 at 6pm – 9pm accommodate all events that will be going on at the lodge this weekend. The cost is $10 for 4 sets of cards. Donations of food items will get you additional cards. For this month we are raising money at Cardingo for the smoke eater in the lounge. I encourage as many members to attend as this is something many of you have been asking for us to “make happen”. So, here is the way each and every one of us can do just that. Week 12 of FREE Trivia is March 1st . Then we will have a break and resume Trivia March 22nd for an 12 week stretch. All the trivia players bring me great laughter and I love hosting every week. We would all love to see some fresh faces for our next session. Finally, I would love to thank all the Volunteers that continue to offer me help with all the events I have been hosting. If you have a strength in something and you can offer me some help, reach out and I will be sure to ask you for help. The winner of my monthly participation drawing for February is Sue Hartley of Chichester. Thank you for you continued support. I hope to see you all at the Lodge!. My Fellow Elks, It is with mixed emotions that I write this, my last E.R. message. It has been a long and sometimes bumpy road. My time in this position has seen many changes. We have fought hard to get our lodge back on track and to become a bigger part of our community. There have been so many members involved in helping me. I cannot thank you enough for your support and hope that you will continue to be a part in our growth for many years to come. Although I am leaving the office of the Exalted Ruler, I am looking forward to still being a part of this lodge and this organization. I will continue to assist our incoming E.R. in any way that I can. I hope that the warmer weather trend continues. We have several important projects that are coming upon us very quickly in relation to the outside of the lodge. Any members able to help please let the lodge secretary know that you would like to be put on the spring projects list. We have numerous events in the months to come. We are always looking for new faces to help and support them. In closing, I wish to thank the officers and members of the Concord-Epsom Lodge 1210 of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks for their support and for this amazing experience. Fraternally Yours, Kenneth H Pennell Exalted Ruler Member Lounge Hours: Mon-Thurs: 4pm-9pm Fri & Sat: 4pm-10pm Sunday: 1pm-7pm
