The voice of Satan is powerful.

God has allowed man to believe his voice.

God voice has not been silenced. He has not stopped talking to man. He has not stopped guiding man.
Josh. 24:15-15 – Joshua lays out the choice for all generations of man, choose whom you will serve, the voice of God or the voice of Satan.

The voice of God has changed over the lifetime of man.
God at Mt. Sinai:
Ex. 19:5-9 – the Lord spoke to Moses so the people could hear and fear
Ex. 20:18-21 – when they heard and saw the presence of God they were afraid
God to Elijah:
1 Kings 19:11-13 – God speaks to Elijah in a small voice, like a whisper

God today:
Heb. 1:1-2 – God has spoken to man in various ways
In all of the ways God has spoken with man there is a constant that we must acknowledge.
That constant is the wisdom that comes from God and the understanding that man should have in the application of that wisdom.
Heb. 13:8 - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Prov. 1:20-21 – wisdom calls aloud
Wisdom is always on the outside of man and must be let in.
We must hear her and open the door of our heart for her.
Prov. 4:1-2 – hear the instruction of a father

Which father must we listen to?
Matt. 17:1-5 – the voice of God tells us to hear Jesus
John 8:44 – Are you of the father of lies?

The wisdom of God is crying out for man to hear.
Prov. 8
Vs. 1 – Does not wisdom cry out and understanding lift up her voice?
Vs. 4 – ‘To you, O men, I call, and my voice to the sons of men…”

What does wisdom say?
Vs – “I, wisdom, dwell with prudence, And find out knowledge and discretion. The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate.”
The voice of the world neither knows nor understands prudence and discretion.
There is no knowledge in the voice of the world.

In Proverbs 8 wisdom has been the guiding voice in the world from before the world was.
Vs. 14 – counsel, sound wisdom, understanding and strength belong to the voice of her that stands on the hill and cries out
This is the voice of God!

The wisdom of man says that the origins of human life crawled out of the primordial ooze and evolved over millions of years.
Vs. 26 – wisdom says I was there before God created the earth, the fields, or even the primal dust
Gen. 3:19 – man was from the dust of the ground
Gen. 1:26-27 – God is the one who created man

The wisdom of God cries out because within the wisdom of God is life.
Prov. 8:32-36 – heed wisdom and find the favor of the Lord
Eph. 5:17 – Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

John 6:68-69 – “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
John 1:1-4 – Jesus is the Word that was God from the beginning

The wisdom of God was manifested to man in Jesus Christ.
He has the word of life.
We must hear Him calling out to us.
When we hear Him we must obey Him.

Do you hear the voice of wisdom and understanding?
Do you hear the voice of Jesus who is calling you to obedience?
