Background information: Organisational set up under the Department of Internal Affairs Which legislation governs CR operations – Births, Deaths, Marriages, and Relationships Registration Act 1995, last revised in 2008. Record Management System: For Birth registrations the front end or customer experience is electronic. However the back end or registration aspect is manual.
