Keep Recruiting Volunteers
It’s really do or die!
2
Why does your affiliate use volunteers?
3
Volunteers are used: In construction, yes, but ALSO On the board
In the office In the ReStore On standing committees On ad-hoc task forces
4
When using volunteers, ask:
What does the affiliate need or need done? How could a volunteer help or be the solution to that problem? What will we provide- what’s in it for the volunteer? Good volunteer placements benefit the person as well as the organization
5
WHY look for new volunteers?
Sustainability Key volunteer corps at many affiliates are aging out. We need to replace those long time stalwarts and it won’t be easy Community Impact Each involved person is a potential donor and advocate Diversity We need to have new ideas constantly
