3 Un-Mounted Consistency of date/time important
Feed them! Hold around lunch or dinner. At the least serve a snack. Include games and fun activities FUN: Focused Un-Mounted kNowledge: keep it short and to the point Remember: Ds prefer listening to C members Use the SOPs to plan your year and stick to it.

4 Mounted Takes longer Mounted instructors need to understand the SOPs
Longeing, teaching and training instruction also need to be familiar with the SOPS Remember: riding comes in spurts with peaks and valleys Use the SOPs to make help members make a plan for their mounted goals for the year; share with instructors.

5 Member Retention The best way to retain members is to offer the program! Make a yearly calendar that offers regular mounted and un-mounted instruction Cover what they will be tested on: set them up for success Recognize achievements Involve members in local and regional events

Help new member learn the culture of Pony club

8 Utilizing Notebooks Bring to each meeting
Add un-mounted meeting handouts Mounted Self Assessment Have instructors sign off of mastered skills on checklists
