1 Operations Update – November 14th, 2018

2 Council’s Special Acquisition
GPS – Winter Maintenance Vehicle Tracking System acquired from BSM Technologies Installed in six pieces of equipment, two more this coming week and two new vehicles being added upon delivery (Loader & Single Axle Dump) Mechanic’s Service Vehicle Completed Other equipment (Snow blowers, backpack blowers, steam pressure washer) Generator & sump pump still to come 2018 Traffic Control – Directional boards, industrial bush mower and rototiller to be acquire in early 2019 Additional Operations staff hired and working weekends

3 Accomplishments to Date - Parks
Community In Bloom Town was awarded five blooms Operations is working with Planning and Development to address noted deficiencies in the judging report. Replaced Wheeler Park playground equipment Removed old Pumphouse on Kinsmen Lake Will be replacing it with a handicap accessible dock Deployed 10 new multiple dog bag stations Planted 77 trees (64 in Strathmore Lakes)

4 Accomplishments to Date - Parks
Have already put up the Christmas lights at the welcome sign (west), Town Hall and Kinsmen Park Have ordered 57 new Christmas Light displays for light standards 2nd & 3rd Avenue & Lakeside Blvd Deployed 15 more ‘bear proof’ garbage cans Relocation of one disc golf hole to address resident’s concerns Rehabbed approximately 2-3 kms of pathways in Town (Kinsmen & Grand Point Estates)

5 Accomplishments to Date - Parks
Repainted the bowl in the Skate Park to reduce graffiti Major clean-up in Gray’s Park and completion of the gravel pathway Deployed pathway marker for snow removal program Deployed Old Train Station sign in Lambert Park New notifications sign Kinsmen & Strathmore Lake

6 Accomplishments to Date – Public Works
Since February 2018 – repaired or replaced 365 Black Carts Deployed over 200 Large Green Carts Filled over 175 pot holes throughout the Town Crack sealing majority of major Town roads Since May 1st, 924 Alberta One Call Locates (7.3 per day)

7 Accomplishments to Date – Public Works
Begin storm ditch maintenance program in Orchard Park Dust controlled gravel roads throughout the Town (Approx 6 kms) Sidewalk repairs/replacements (51) and grinding (126)throughout the Town Multiple coloured school crosswalks, reflectors & RRFB deployment Replaced barriers at Center and Centennial intersection Since June 1st, completed over 350 work orders

8 Objectives for the end of 2018 & 2019
New Cityworks software deployment – internally December 15, 2018 Strathmore Lake Rock Wall stabilization Lake shoreline stabilization due to erosion Trees Plant trees along side the two “Welcome to Strathmore” signs on Highway 1 Plant an additional trees throughout the Town Arrival of new Loader and Single Axle Dump Address flooding in Strathmore Lakes Bend Park Street & Traffic Sign standardize program in 2019
