4 BRINGING GUESTS If students want to bring a guest, they must get a Dance Guest Permission Slip from the front office and have it completed. Form MUST be turned in to the front office by Wednesday, November 7th. If your guest is not a student at a High School, they cannot be over 21 years old and they must complete a volunteer form by going to SPRING ISD, under departments, they must select, Family and Community Engagement, select parent resources and complete volunteer registration. This process takes about a week, so start planning.

6 FALL FESTIVAL When- Friday, October 26th (5:30-8:00pm)
Cost- $3.00 for entrance and 8 game tickets Additional game tickets are .25 cents Participate in a paper volleyball tournament,pie eating contests, performances from Jam club and Dance club, and many more fun activities. SECA STUDENTS ONLY UNLESS APPROVED BY MS.KIMBERLY

7 DSG (Dedicated Service Graduate) Hours
DSG forms information Must complete 120 hrs total including a minimum of 40 hrs for Spring ISD All completed forms must be turned in by the end of every month of any hours done that particular month. Make sure the form is fully completed and signed by sponsor. If one particular service is more than 8 hours , DATES and TIMES for EACH DAY must be listed on the back of the form or it will be returned to student. Make sure you are keeping up with your own hours in case there are any discrepancies. Completed forms are to be placed on black tray in the Media Center by the entrance door. Forms from last school year will not be accepted this current year.

Week Oct. 29th-31st Monday-Pajama Day Tuesday-Pink Lemonade Day (given after school) Wednesday-Wear Halloween Costumes (MUST be school appropriate and the school dress code STILL APPLIES!!) Wednesday (cont.)-Pie Day

11 Sell pink slushies all month
Pie Day- Students can donate 25¢ for 1 vote, 50¢ for 2 votes, and $1 for 3 votes inside a box and write the teacher they are voting for on a card and put it in the ballot box. Voting will be from Oct.15 until Oct.29. On Oct. 31st the teacher who gets voted the most will receive a whipped cream pie to the face. At the end of the day, it will get recorded. Survival Day- PowerPoint with a collection of B.C. survivor stories. Memorial Day- Students can give stories of loved ones who fought the battle of breast cancer to be displayed in a powerpoint and on the cancer tree. Students can be anonymous if they choose. Cancer Sucks! Bucket- Bucket of lollipops with the stick colored.Whatever lollipop you pull depending on the color of the stick is how much you pay (free-75¢). Cancer Tree- Paper tree with pink ribbons, survival stories, answers to the question asked in clubs, and memorial to passed family members to be displayed outside of Ms. Wiley’s room. Dress Staff/ Faculty- Students bring wacky pink items for staff/ faculty to wear. Pumpkin Dress-Up Competition- Teachers can decorate a pumpkin; whoever has the coolest pumpkin wins a pink Edible Arrangements basket

IMPORTANT BACTERIAL MENINGITIS INFORMATION FOR JUNIOR AND SENIOR STUDENTS Check your MyLoneStar account. If you have a Bacterial Meningitis HOLD you will NOT be allowed to take any college courses on the LSC campus. Please see your AVID teacher for a copy of the LSC approved 3 Ways to comply with the bacterial meningitis vaccination requirements. Please adhere to the directions for complying with the vaccination requirements! DO NOT request a copy of your shot records from the nurse, that information will not satisfy the requirements!! Bacterial Meningitis holds must be resolved before Tuesday, 11/13/18!

No Use of Foul Language. Work Quietly, Stay on Task. Use of your cellular device should be for academic purposes only! You should not use your study hall and/or student assistant time to play games on your phone. No Laying down and NO Sleeping! Conduct Yourself as Young Adult. No Horse Play. IMPORTANT NOTE: Failure to adhere to the expectations of the Media Center will result in appropriate consequences.  Thank you!

25 Sack lunches Students if you will be returning on the 1 p.m. bus from Lone Star, please make sure to pick up your sack lunch before leaving to Lone Star. You will not be allowed to pick up a lunch from the cafeteria when you return. Please submit request for lunch by 7:50 a.m. Choices: Ham & Cheese Sand. Turkey & Cheese sand. The Box- PB&J The Box Deconstructed Parfait The Box Protein Pack Pop Corn Chicken Salad Spinach, Bacon & Egg Salad Spicy Chicken Salad.

26 Student ID card Student MUST wear their ID at ALL times.
If students have forgotten their ID, they will need to get a temporary ID from front office for a fee of $1. If student has lost their ID, they must purchase a replacement ID for $5.
